Who Publishes This Site, And Who Does Not

The site behind these pages is an independent comparison of coffee tours on the leeward slopes of Hualalai and Mauna Loa. It is not a farm. It grows no coffee, roasts none and pours none, and it is none of the operators behind the cards, from Hala Tree Coffee and Heavenly Hawaiian to Wasabi Tours Hawaii and Rainbow Helicopters. Reservations happen on each operator's own live listing, and this site never touches a payment.

How This Site Earns Its Money

Every book button on a tour card, and most tour links inside the text, leads to a listing on Viator or GetYourGuide that carries this site's partner tag. The tag is how the platform knows a booking came from this page. Eight of the fourteen tours compared here are sold on Viator, six on GetYourGuide. Reserve a place after following one of those links and the platform pays this site a share of the commission it already collects from the operator. Your total does not move: checkout shows the same price you would get by finding the listing on your own.

Two smaller link types work the same way. The free Kailua-Kona history walk links to GuruWalk, a pay-what-you-want platform that may pay a referral fee, and the three hotels in the where-to-stay section link to Expedia through a partner program.

Commission on bookings is the only income this site takes. No page carries banner ads, no operator has paid for a write-up, and nothing here is sponsored. If another network is added later, it will be named on this page before any tagged link appears.

The Parts Of A Trip That Pay Nothing

Driving the Mamalahoa Highway through the coffee belt is free, and so is a swim at Kahaluu. Many of the farms featured on these cards, from Hala Tree in Captain Cook to Mountain Thunder on the slopes of Hualalai, run tasting rooms of their own, and a bag of beans bought at the counter is a separate transaction this site plays no part in. Tours offered only operator-direct, with no bookable listing to verify, get no card. Free and direct options are named honestly wherever they beat something a commission could be earned on.

What The Commission Never Changes

The same rules govern every card, whatever it might earn.

• Inclusion. Every tour had to clear one bar: a real, currently bookable listing run by an operator that genuinely operates tours in the Kona coffee belt, with every rating and duration matching the operator's own listing.
• Ranking. No operator can pay for a better slot, and none has been asked. Order within each category follows review volume, so the most-reviewed tour sits first, something you can test against the figures printed on the cards.
• Wording. The Volcanoes, Waterfalls and Coffee Farm day trip carries 479 reviews and the sea turtle and coffee combo carries 7, and both figures appear exactly as the platform publishes them. Where a listing states no meeting point, the card says so rather than inventing one.
• What stays off. Near-duplicate mirrors of one product on a second platform, and tours that fall under the quality floor, are excluded entirely. A brand-new listing can still get a card when the product is real and relevant, and it is marked as new instead of being handed a rating it has not earned.

How The Card Figures Are Checked

Every rating and review count on this site is the platform's own published number, read from the live listing at the time the card was checked. Nothing is averaged, rounded up or invented. Each card also shows the verified from-price, and that figure is a starting point rather than a locked quote. Prices shift with the date and the option chosen, so the booking page is always the authority on your final total.

Booking Without Ever Clicking A Link

Each operator is named on its card, so the company can be tracked down and a seat reserved with this site nowhere in the chain. The FAQ on the homepage and the guides hold the same value whether or not a booking link is ever clicked.
